Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German television and film actress best known for her performances in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the sole children of Romanian actors Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into the world of show business early, and ended up acting in lead roles on various series on TV by the time she reached the age of 16. Her fame was due to her portrayal of Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this female diva. Alexandra worked on several notable worldwide and national productions over her career. The British biographical documentary Control the Greek film The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical miniseries Napoleon are among them. She was also on the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, and also at Cannes Film Festival.
