Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actor and TV host. She's best known as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara born as the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens and a leading role in several dramas on television. Her fame was due to her portrayal in Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra is known for her work in numerous noteworthy projects both domestically as well as internationally. These include British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historic miniseries Napoleon among others. She has also been an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as in at the Cannes Film Festival.
